Battlefield 3 M1Abrams Vs the T-90

If you know anything about Battlefield 3, you know that vehicles, specifically tanks are absolutely incredible. They boast tremendous firepower like jets, but have easier controls to master like vehicles such as humvees.. This article will give you a brief introduction over the two Battlefield 3 tanks, the M1Abrams and the T-90 and gives you some tips and tricks over how to use them.

The M1Abrams is the classic American tank. It has room for a driver, passenger, and a commander, but only if you have the CIV station perk equipped, I'll talk more about it later. The driver controls the movement of the vehicle along with a cannon and light machine gun. The passenger controls the heavy machine gun.

The T-90 is the Russian counterpart to the M1Abrams. It also seats two, but is slightly slower than the Abrams. Furthermore, the driver only has access to cannon first and not a light machine gun as well.

Now, the tanks are pretty similar, but I would have to say the M1Abrams is slightly better because it is faster and the driver has access to a light machine gun.

Now that I've given you a brief introduction, I'll discuss some of the tips and unlocks you can and should use when you've got these tanks.

First, always remember you can sprint with a tank, just like you would with a normal character. Sometimes that extra boost of speed is absolutely pivotal if you in a sticky situation such as an ambush with rockets or C4s.

Secondly, watch your health bar. The tank can only take about half damage before becoming disabled, which means it will slowly lose its health and cannot move. When, it comes to damage, your tank is very strong, but not invulnerable. It can take anywhere from three to five shots rocket shots on the front or two to three to the side. This means you want to watch the alignment of your tank. Whenever going into enemy territory, always make sure your front side is facing in the direction your moving. Next, is C4. If you ever see a person next you, it might not be a bad idea to leave your tank. C4 can kill your tank easily and if the enemy is stealthy, he'll have these planted on your tank and triggered in a matter of seconds.

Finally, I'll talk about some of the unlocks you can get, once you get tons of kills. Zoom Optics are decent but not great. The canister shot is great against aircraft, be sure to try it out. My personal favorite attachments are is the Proximity Scans, which basically allows you to detect any nearby enemies. This helps you defend against C4. Reactive Armor is also great because of the defensive boost it gives you, that makes you almost invulnerable.
